Orangutan Feast

They tell me that the monkey
would go dressed way too funky,
and they've had about their fill
of our gorilla.

So maybe we should hesitate
I think, this time, lets leave the ape,
and plan that there's no room
for the baboon.

But heck, I know that we'll be able
to share a lovely treetop table,
and toss banana peels
upon the wind.

We'll hoot, and scratch and sit on branches
and say "No, please" to chimpanzees,
and lay hors-de-oeuvres upon our knees
at Friday night's
orangutan feast!
